18 weeks. Spring 2016.
The goal of this project was to design a chair, table , and glass that each contained primary, secondary and tertiary forms. These objects of desire would create an atmosphere of romance for two people in the context of an intimate date setting.
Going on a date with someone is about finding the qualities in someone that contrast and complement your own. I wanted to bring this idea of contrasting and complimentary qualities into the forms of these objects. I found inspiration in angular rock faces and curvilinear flowers and I sought to join the two extremes in one form.
